The Office of Admissions at Lewis & Clark College is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy and the information you share with us. This document outlines the ways in which Lewis & Clark College uses information transmitted to us via the admissions website.
We use information collected from you for four general purposes: to personalize your online experience when using this website, to send you personalized correspondence, to fulfill your requests for certain information, and to process your application for admission.
Information You Share:
The information that we collect from you through this website will vary depending upon how you use the website and what information you choose to provide to us. Generally, we collect any information that you provide to us through online registrations and applications, participating in online activities, posting information on bulletin boards, or other forms of correspondence.
Cookies: We may also use cookies to collect information about your use of the website. You may adjust your Internet browser to disable the use of cookies; however, some features of this website may not be available without the use of cookies.
Log Files: We use internet protocol (IP) addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track web traffic, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. An IP address is a 32-bit number that identifies each sender or receiver of information and is sent in packets across the Internet. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. In addition, our log files track which pages you visit, from which page you came to our site, and what software you use to visit our site.
We do not disclose any personal information collected from you other than to our agents and contractors for admissions purposes. In general, however, we may disclose information concerning our website and its users in aggregate, non-personally identifiable form.
Lewis & Clark College adheres to all applicable provisions of FERPA. Once you are an enrolled student, the College FERPA policies will govern the use of your information and protect your privacy. For more information, go here: http://www.lclark. edu/dept/reg/ferpa. html

We use industry-standard security measures to protect any personal information that you may provide to us. Despite our adherence to these standards we cannot guarantee 100% protection from the sorts of activities broadly referred to as “hacking” whose consequence might be a loss of electronic privacy. If such a breach were to occur, we would move rapidly to repair the breach, prosecute the trespasser, and notify you of any violation of your privacy.
Maintaining information that is current, accurate and complete allows us to make our website more useful to you. To that end, we encourage you to update your information from time to time. To review the information that we have concerning you, please contact us at admissions@lclark.edu.
